The DA-9 doesn’t add any new features to the DA lineage, because doing so would have pulled focus from its philosophy of design: minimal features, maximal specs.

High power, low noise circuitry

SMSL assembled a crack team of circuitry for the DA-9. With its Japanese NJW1194 volume control chip and German Infineon class-D power amplifier chip, the DA-9 delivers a massive 150Wx2 of power with a whisperingly low 111dB signal-to-noise ratio.

Free your music with Bluetooth 5.0

Although it’s more common to find Bluetooth chips inside DACs, headphones, and IEMs, there’s actually no limit to where you can place them in the audio chain, not even inside the amp itself. That’s because Bluetooth chips handle their own decoding apart from the DAC you’d normally use for wired sound.

An XLR balanced input makes the DA-9 a great addition to any balanced audio ecosystem.

Sophisticated, subtle design

From a distance, the DA-9 looks much like the rest of the SMSL lineup: bright-screened, modestly-sized, wagging its little dog tail of a Bluetooth antenna. In a word: unpretentious. But come a bit closer and you’ll find that SMSL has reserved a few sensual surprises for your fingertips.
